- 38.1 miles - Essex, Willsboro & Lewis This longest loop of the Adirondack Coast Bikeways network travels through rolling farmlands and woodlands, and along flat lake shoreline. Roads are mixed paved and unpaved, hills are occasional, and traffic is low throughout. Some construction on Ray Woods Road is planned for 1998. A recommended start/end point is in the hamlet of Essex where food, lodging, parking and the ferry are available.

Mile Point 0.0 Head North on Route 22 at Essex Ferry Dock. 0.7 Turn L on Catholic Church Road (unpaved). 2.5 Turn R on County 66/Middle Road. 5.5 Turn L on County 68/West Road. 7.9 Bear Right on West Road at Coonrod Road. 9.0 Turn L on Sanders Road. 10.5 Bear R. 12.2 Turn R on County 57/Reber Valley Road (watch out for trucks). 13.7 Turn L on County 14/Deerhead Road. 15.4 Turn L on Crowningshield Road. 17.7 Turn L on Moss Road. 18.7 Turn R on County 12 and cross I-87 (watch out for trucks). 19.5 Turn L on Dixon/Redmond Road. 20.5 Turn R on County 10/Lewis-Wadhams Road. 20.7 Turn L on Ray Woods Road (unpaved). 22.7 Turn L on Route 9. 22.8 Turn L on Steele Woods Road (unpaved). 25.7 Turn R on County 10/Lewis-Wadhams Road. 28.6 Turn L on County 55/Walker Road. 32.5 Cross Route 22 and continue on County 55/Whallons Bay Road. 32.6 Jim's Pretty Good Grocery 35.3 Left on County 9/ Lake Shore Road. 38.1 Essex Ferry Dock

Rolling Reber Ramble - 18.6 miles - Willsboro As the name implies, the route is rolling, especially through the woodlands along Reber and Mountain Roads (be prepared for the occasional steep hill). Traffic is minimal with the exception of Route 22, and where frequent trucks carry Wollastonite on the short stretch of County Route 57 between Jersey and Mountain View Roads. (Wollastonite trucks use Mountain View, Route 57, and Stowersville Roads during the work week.) A recommended start/end point is in the hamlet of Willsboro, where food, lodging, and parking are available.

Mile Point 0.0 Willsboro Village at Boquet River - Head North on Route 22 up a steep hill. 0.5 Mountain View Restaurant 0.6 Ethel's Dew Drop Inn 0.8 Willsboro Pharmacy 0.9 Country Store 2.0 Gift Shop 3.2 Turn L on Mountain Road/Reber Road North. 9.8 Intersect County 14 and continue straight at County 57/Reber Valley Road. 11.3 Turn L on County 12/Jersey Street. 12.9 Bear L on Sanders Road. 14.5 Turn R on County 68/West Road. 15.6 Bear L on West Road at Coonrod Road. 18.0 Turn L on County 66/Middle Road. 18.1 Turn L on Route 22 to downtown Willsboro. 18.6 Boquet River

Surrounded by Water - 14.5 miles - Willsboro The route travels around Willsboro Point, offering plenty of views of Lake Champlain. The only steep hill is immediately north of the bridge over the Boquet River on Route 22. All roads are paved except for a 1/2 mile section. When traveling around the Point, be vigilant of vehicles pulling boat trailers. A recommended start/end point is in the hamlet of Willsboro, where food, lodging, and parking are available.

Mile Point 0.0 Willsboro Village at Boquet River - Head North on Route 22 up a steep hill. 0.6 Turn R on Point Road/Route 27. 0.6 Ethel's Dew Drop Inn 5.6 Indian Bay Marina and Restaurant (unpaved section ahead for a short distance). 10.8 Turn R on Point Road/Route 27. 10.8 Buena Vista Park 11.7 Turn R on Farrell Road/Route 62. 12.1 Bay View Lounge/Motel/Restaurant 13.8 Turn R on Point Road. 13.9 Turn L on Route 22. 14.5 Cross Boquet River into downtown Willsboro.
