Heritage Center Gets New Roof

The 100 year old building has a new roof. The town (of Willsboro) owns the building but has a lease contract with the Willsboro Heritage Society for its occupancy. The Society and Town have known for a while that the building needed a new roof

but discussions entailed as to replace it with slate or go with shingles. The concern is that the building is eligible to be placed on the historic register and that the Town and the Society did not want to jeopardize the status. With the 'okay' from the state, the bid was let for shingles. Sam Blanchard was the lowest bidder at $17,500. The job was completed in three days (and looks fantastic).
