Everything is being lined up to start the complete overhaul of the facility to be transformed into an assited living housing for seniors. A project manager has be hired and is on-site daily to oversee the hiring of the contractors and coordinate the construction phase of the project. Schwartzberg estimates the project to take about a year to complete. His plans include keeping the look and feel of the old school while incorporating single and double occupancy rooms. The facility will feature a 'main street' themed first floor with an ice cream shop, cafe and more. An estimated 30 jobs will be created when the facility opens.
"You are going to see some action very soon" stated Eli Schwartzberg owner of the fomer Willsboro Central School located downtown.
